General Information
Yes. Private investigators in Victoria are vetted and licensed through the Victoria Police Licensing Services Division (LSD).
Absolutely, confidentiality is guaranteed.
The simple answer is no. Although the majority of people can be located there is never a 100% guarantee and it would be dishonest to provide such a guarantee. If a Private Investigator does guarantee they can locate a person without knowing any prior information about that person we would strongly advise caution.
More often than not, this ensures the Private Investigator will be paid for any services provided.
No. Only VicRoads and law enforcement agencies have access to such information.
Each case is different and the time to locate can depend on many varying factors.
Cheating Partner/Infidelity
No. Not without your partners express or implied consent. In the State of Victoria it is illegal to track a vehicle without the consent of the person who would be operating (driving) the vehicle during the time it was being tracked regardless of whether you are the owner of the vehicle or not.
No. Such information is personal and private and is protected by Privacy Laws.
No. It is illegal to do so without consent from the owner of the phone.
No. As part of the conditions of the order, you cannot have the protected party put under surveillance or have anyone else (this includes a private investigator) put them under surveillance whilst the order is valid and in place. In doing so you would breach the order.
